COACH MAZ AKA BIG MAZ
Masree Butler brings over 13 years of experience in strength & conditioning, speed development, and athlete performance.
A former All-Conference football player, collegiate offensive lineman, two-time Semi-Pro All-Star, and professional athlete with the Washington Templars, Masree transitioned into collegiate performance coaching following his playing career.
He has served as the Head Strength & Conditioning Coach for Women’s Soccer and Assistant Strength Coach for Women’s Basketball at Highline College, helping develop high-performing athletes through structured, data-driven training.
Today, Masree works with high school, collegiate, and semi-professional athletes across multiple sports while serving as the Director of Strength & Conditioning at Highline College.

EDUCATION

Masree Butler’s professional foundation is built on formal education, elite certifications, and years of hands-on athlete development. He holds degrees in Personal Fitness Training and Movement Wellness, providing advanced knowledge in biomechanics, movement efficiency, injury prevention, and long-term athletic development.
Masree is certified through the NSCA (NSCA-CPT), Functional Movement Systems (FMS Level 2), American Sports & Fitness Association Speed Coaching, TRX Suspension Training, VertiMax Performance Training, University of Michigan Concussion in Sport Certification, and University of Colorado Exercise Science Certification.
His combination of education, certification, and real-world coaching experience allows him to deliver structured, data-driven training built for long-term athletic performance.
