COACH MAZ AKA BIG MAZ
Masree brings over 13 years of experience in collegiate strength and conditioning, backed by a competitive athletic career and a proven track record of developing high-performing athletes. As an athlete, he was a two-time All-Conference football player in high school, an All-League offensive lineman at the collegiate level, a two-time Semi-Pro All-Star, and went on to compete professionally with the Washington Templars.
Following his playing career, Masree transitioned into high-level coaching, becoming the Head Strength & Conditioning Coach for Women’s Soccer at Highline College. He later served as the Assistant Strength Coach for Highline College Women’s Basketball. These roles helped shape a coaching philosophy rooted in intentional programming, athlete care, and measurable performance outcomes.
Today, Masree works with hundreds of high schools, collegiate, and semi-professional athletes each year, delivering structured speed, strength, and movement-based training across multiple sports. He currently serves as the Director of Strength & Conditionig at Highline College, continuing to lead athlete development at the collegiate level.

EDUCATION
Masree’s professional foundation is built on formal education, elite certifications, and applied performance coaching. He holds an Associate of Applied Science in Personal Fitness Training and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Movement Wellness, providing a deep academic understanding of human movement, biomechanics, injury prevention, and long-term athlete development.
He is a National Strength and Conditioning Association Certified Personal Trainer (NSCA-CPT) and has completed Level 2 Functional Movement Systems (FMS) training, allowing him to assess movement quality, identify limitations, and build athletes from the ground up with precision and intent. Masree is also certified as an American Sports & Fitness Association Speed Coach and in Sports-Specific Training, specializing in acceleration, max-velocity mechanics, change of direction, and transfer to sport performance.
His expertise extends to modern training systems including TRX Level 1 Suspension Training, which he integrates for core strength, stability, and controlled power development. Additionally, Masree is a certified VertiMax Trainer, utilizing advanced resistance-based sprinting and jumping systems to safely develop explosiveness, elasticity, and force production across youth, high school, and collegiate athletes. This blend of education, certification, and real-world application allows Masree to deliver training that is intentional, measurable, and built for performance that lasts.
